“La tomata de penjar”, un tomate con sabor único.
Del 9 de octubre al 1 de noviembre será el producto estrella en las cocinas y mesas de 16 restaurantes de la localidad. También será el protagonista de diferentes eventos y actividades que se realizarán en Alcalà de Xivert-Alcossebre
Estos 16 restaurantes han elaborado menús especiales dándoles su particular toque en los que no falta “la tomata de penjar”. Platos sorprendentes, originales y únicos.
En estos mismos restaurantes los clientes podrán adquirir estos productos en diferentes formatos y precios.
Las actividades darán comienzo el 9 de octubre, a las 11.00h con “Senderismo con sabor”. A las 18.00h en el Espai D´Oci de Alcalà, entrada gratuita y con aforo limitado, el concierto Blues de la Terreta de Horizontal Blues.
Durante estos días también se realizarán diferentes rutas y actividades turísticas en las que se dará a conocer cómo se cultiva este producto tan especial, particular y sabroso. Los fines de semana y festivos será posible visitar la iglesia, el campanario y el Centro de Interpretación Etnológica de Santa Lucía. Este permanecerá abierto desde las 10.00h hasta las 17.00h.

«La tomata de penjar», a tomato with a unique flavor.
From October 9 to November 1, this tomato will be the star ingredient in the kitchens and on the tables of sixteen restaurants in town. It will also be the main attraction of different events and activities that will take place in Alcalà de Xivert-Alcossebre.
These 16 restaurants have put together special menus giving them their particular touch in which there is no lack of “Tomata de penjar”. There will be surprising, original and unique dishes on offer.
Customers will also be able to purchase these products in various sizes and prices.
The activities will begin on October 9, at 11:00am with “Hiking with flavor”. At 6:00pm, at the Espai D´Oci de Alcalà, there will be the Blues de la Terreta de Horizontal Blues concert with free admission and limited capacity.
During the festivals, there will also be different routes and tourist activities which shows how this special and tasty product is grown. In the cultural activities you will also be able to learn about the important historical heritage of Alcalà de Xivert. For more information click here.
On weekends and holidays, it is possible to visit the church, the bell tower and the Ethnological Interpretation Centre of Santa Lucía. Visiting hours are from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
